IDEA, in partnership with Trócaire, are running a workshop on Bringing your Results Framework to Life – Approaches to Monitoring & Evaluation in Development Education Settings, Wednesday 18 April, 10.00am – 1.00pm, IDEA Office.
Facilitated by Elaine Mahon (IDEA) and Susan Gallwey (Trócaire), this workshop will look at both practical and creative approaches to Monitoring and Evaluating your work in Development Education settings. ‘Bring your Results Framework to Life’ follows on from our support to IDEA members and Development Education practitioners to develop Results Frameworks for Development Education projects. We will now explore how to utilise your Results Framework from your funding application and how to develop it into a project management tool.
We will be exploring the idea of a ‘living Results Framework’ and how to track progress towards your targets on an ongoing basis during your project life cycle. The workshop will also look at some creative approaches to Development Education data collection and analysis, including the use of qualitative data. We will utilise methods from the resource ‘How do we know it’s working?’ (developed by RISC) and training participants will receive a taster pack of the RISC guide to take away with them. This workshop is most suited to Development Education practitioners who already have/use a results-based approach in their work.
Cost: €25 for members of IDEA and €40 for non-members. The fee includes a light lunch as well as copies of the RISC taster pack ‘How do we know it’s working?’
Registration will take place at 9.45am, and the workshop will be followed by lunch at 1.00pm.
