This interactive day will take participants through a range of creative tools to enhance your Development Education practice for work with people of all ages. It is designed to give you an injection of creative energy and confidence; inspire you to be a change-maker among the people you work with; help you to support others to explore our unequal and interconnected world, and to take action about your concerns, working towards a better, more equal world. The day will run as follows:
- Introduction to Development Education themes and issues: by IDEA and Comhlámh
- Global Harmonies: Rachel Dempsey (MA Ethnomusicology) is a Development Education professional who has 20 years’ experience of running 'Global Harmonies: Music, Voicework & Singing for Transformation' workshops. This session will allow participants to experience how music can offer a powerful dimension to your Development Education work.
- The Change-Maker session: Led by facilitators from the Creativity and Change programme, Claire Coughlan and Helen O'Keeffe, this training will bring a creative energy to Global Citizenship/ Development Education.
